SCHEDULE a rental truck and/or moving company as soon as possible.
ARRANGE to have your electric, gas, cable, water and other services connected in your new home the day before you move. Have services turned off at your old address the day after you vacate.

RENTER'S - if you're leaving an apartment, review your lease so you know everything you need to do. Arrange an inspection appointment with the landlord pointing out the cleaning, trash removal and other responsibilities you've fulfilled. If you are not getting your security deposit back immediately, make sure your landlord has your new address.
PARENT'S - call the board of education in your new community to arrange for transferring or enrolling your children in schools. Also check with the schools you are leaving, do you have all the information that will be needed at the new location?
